Club Membership
The Bowls season typically runs from late April/early May to late September. NWLBC has a membership to suit your needs.
Coaching
In 2022 we will be holding introductory sessions throughout the season for members of the community to try Bowls. Our club and district have a dedicated group of coaches who teach the basics, and clinics are available ranging from polishing skills to competitive coaching. For more information email your questions to coaching.
Draws
Draws are run according to the schedule on the Leagues page. Players are asked to arrive at least 15 minutes ahead in order to give the Draw Master an appropriate amount of time to set up the draw.
Equipment
Bowls are available free to use for first year members; and can be rented for the second year. We suggest you try out the different sizes and weights before you buy. By the third year we encourage returning bowlers to purchase their own sets.
Dress
Dress is casual for league play. Shoes must be flat and without heavy treads or heels to prevent damaging the greens. For tournaments either all “Whites” or club shirts are worn.
Social
We offer lots of social activities during the playing season at the NWLBC! Friday evening barbecues, special holiday and events, and games. Check our Calendar pages for more details.
