Many members expected to spend a few hours Saturday morning with Ed Olson to rake plugs and sand, as the greens were punched. But volunteers were given a break as our greens keeper Jack and his crew took advantage of the good weather and punched greens earlier than scheduled on Thursday. This freed up a block of time, so a couple members picked up a paint brush and covered the old dated bright green on the exterior. When standing on the middle walkway looking at the clubhouse, all the green is gone!! The windows and doors are looking great an updated chocolatey brown, and the top around the frame of the awning is a bright neutral colour called Casablanca. Keep in mind you have to look at the clubhouse dead on to not see the sides, and turn a blind eye to the sheds, but before the season starts, weather permitting, all trim should be finished. Progress is being made. The greens are in great shape!! With the sun shining on them yesterday I was so ready to grab my bowls and deliver my first bowl of my second season. Remember to mark April 2 on your calendar for Spring Clean-Up.
